I therefore drew off very early Thursday morning 9th February where I had a stopover in Amsterdam /

I was in Panama from 9 February rafale india 3rd March 2012. When the trip was planned, rafale india the idea was that I had to attend a 10-day tour arranged through BirdingPal and BirdingPal Guides, as well as a trip 4 days after the first journey end, that went to Cana Field Station, organized by Ancon Travel. I had therefore in good time purchased a ticket to and from Panama city and found a place to stay between

the two tours. It was therefore somewhat disruptive to the second trip was canceled at the beginning of January, so I had to find new places to be at relatively short notice. It is high season for tourism in Panama between December and March, but I saw now no sold out.
I therefore drew off very early Thursday morning 9th February where I had a stopover in Amsterdam / Schiphol flew directly to Panama City with KLM. On arrival there I was picked up and taken to a hotel where the other 6 turdeltagere and tour guide waited.
Birds tour started early the next morning we were collected and taken to the Metropolitan Park in Panama

City where we had a 6 hour introduction to the most common birds in Panama. When I have hardly been in this area before, there were many new and spectacular birds to note in the book, including fine kølnæbbede toucans (keel-billed toucan), blåkronet Motmot (blue-crowned Motmot) and Spotted honey weeks (redlegged honeycreeper) . Kølnæbbet toucans, Metropolitan Park, Panama City, 10 February 2012 Orange-billed Trogon, Metropolitan Park, Panama City, 10 February 2012 Båndarasari, Metropolitan Park, Panama City, 10 February 2012 After lunch we drove to Achiote in Bosque de Protección San Lorenzo where we arrived in the afternoon. In the afternoon we succeeded for some of us to find a Panama beard bird (spotted rafale india barbet) which was one of the target species there. We looked at the birds most of Saturday and returned in the evening for our regular hotel in Panama city suburb of Albrook. Next morning we drove early to Gamboa and looked at birds all morning, incl. a visit to the Rainforest Discovery Centre rafale india along Pipeline road, with very audience-friendly hummingbird feeders. Egerngøg, Ammo Dump, Gamboa, 12 February 2012 Sloths, Gamboa, 12 February 2012 We drove something illogical back to the hotel in Albrook and had lunch before we again drove west toward El Valle. Here we were staying in a very fashionable Bed & Breakfast, Eden Park. Monday morning obs in El Valle was pretty birds empty and we returned a little earlier than planned and could reach some mud flats in Panama city. Unfortunately, there was low tide and many wading rafale india birds thus far - but there was certainly not very certain I could expect as new.
That afternoon we had to fly to David all the way out west. Arriving there we were greeted by the local guide Ito who drove us to Guadeloupe and Los Quetzales. Quetzal is what it is all about in the area. Next morning we drove in four wheel drive to some cabins further up in the mountains and spent the whole morning and the morning there. It gave a lot of fine species, incl. grønbuget Toucan barbet (prongbilled barbet), Black Face clarinet bird (blackfaced solitaire) and duskøre (buffy tuftedcheek). The afternoon we spent at the Quetzal trail, without having luck with the quetzalen. Violet rafale india saber blade, Guadeloupe, Chiriqui, 14 February 2012 Purpurisset hummingbird, Guadeloupe, Chiriqui, 14 February 2012 Hvidstrubet mountain jewel, Guadeloupe, Chiriqui, 14 February 2012 Gullåret fine, Guadeloupe, Chiriqui, 14 February 2012
Early the next morning we drove further west and spent the first morning at Finca Hartmann, a coffee plantation / producer. Here was a part feeders and otherwise fine accessible rafale india birds to see. Among other things, a variety tangarer (White-necked dråbetangar (speckled tanager), Costa Rica pile tangar (Cherrie's tanager) and bluepoint tangar (golden-hooded rafale india tanager)). Yellow-headed dråbetangar, Finca Hartmann, Chiriqui, 15 February 2012 Then we returned to the Quetzal trail to give nature a chance. This also failed but we as a volcano dwarf hummingbird (volcano hummingbird), which was slightly lower than what normally is. Volcanic Little Hummingbird, Finca Hartmann, Chiriqui, 15 February 2012 The local guide took us to last a couple of miles at a very small roads. Here he then showcased a few quetzals are neatly rafale india let himself rafale india behold. Then we flew back to Panama city and our dear Albrook inn.
The idea was that the next day we had to drive all the way to Yavitze and thence sail to El Real. Even before the tour guide knew that was not given permission to the last part of the trip, the border situation at Columbia are often unstable, with cross-border guerrillas and drug traffickers. I had not heard anything definitive and there were no reported nothing out along the way. It had to be like even guess. We drove to Torti, with at least two stops along the main road where the police had to check
