Police Marinyang formerly seabees known as to control security at the ports of the Straits of Johor and Penang responsible seabees for 'Malay Police'. After additional activities at sea, the Coast Guard (MDP) was established seabees on 01 September 1947 with only 19 lonci contribution of the Customs Department and the Royal Malaysian Navy Reserve with the total number of members of the 90 people. The role of the Coast Guard at that time was limited.
