In the director

The Mist (2007) | Captain Charisma Film Blog
In the director's air force bases in florida chair, we find Frank Darabont. The Mist is based on a novel by Stephen King. Frank Darabont has previously made film versions of Stephen King novels, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. He is probably the one who selects the best stories and delivers solid film versions based on the Stephen King novels in recent years. air force bases in florida
I thoroughly enjoyed the opening scene of The Mist where we see David Drayton sit and draw. Stephen air force bases in florida King is now finished The Dark Tower series, which consists of seven books. David Drayton draws a cover which Roland Deschain and a rose are subject. I am a fan of the books, so I sat and smiled broadly. The room also features David Drayton a poster of The Thing from John Carpenter. John Carpenter've made The Fog, so it's not hard to see that John Carpenter's air force bases in florida The Thing and The Fog was Stephen King's inspiration.
As The Mist movie disappointed me a bit. I imagined a different type of film. A more psychological horror, not large mutant animals. The Best of The Mist is how the incarcerated people cope. Unfortunately a crazy religious woman with being played superbly by Marcia Gay Harden. The human mind is weak, it is something we all know. So in this grocery store will be two groups. Those with a mind to keep trying to find a way out of this, and another group who are being brainwashed by the mad old woman named Mrs. Carmody. Personally I do not deal with the topic religion in movies. But The Mist also reflects how it is in reality. Many people air force bases in florida must have something to believe in, otherwise all hope is gone. And one is good at talking to themselves, these people are easy to see. Although I hate the topic, this is the film's greatest strength. I just waited for someone to kill this crazy bitch.
The effects in The Mist was not impressive. There are few films based on Stephen King novels that have really good effects. The creatures fit better in a comedy film, they do not look dangerous. Just a little strange. So it tends to be with these film adaptation of Stephen King novels. The creatures never looks quite right.
The actors do a very good job in The Mist, Thomas Jane impresses. The Mist is not a scary movie at all. It is a film in two parts. air force bases in florida One part consists of the power struggle among the people in the grocery store. The second part is the fight against creatures.
The end, many people hate. Now it's hard to explain exactly what I mean by the end without revealing any of the plot, but I felt the end was wrong when one thinks of the choice they made. These are people who would not sit still to be killed by animals air force bases in florida or humans. Once the end was that it was, so did not quite reach the end could have been quite different had you just taken it a bit quiet in one little minute.

The end was too silly for me, but I understand those who like it. Personally, I have seen this type of ending too many times, so I expected a bit more than what was delivered.
