But there will be no rest for the weary as Alaska coach Luigi Trillo has asked the 6-foot-2 forward, who was selected second overall by the Aces in last August’s draft, to suit up for the team immediately.
“He is set to sign a contract (Wednesday). He has a scheduled 8:30 a.m. with (Alaska team manager Joaqui Trillo),” the younger Trillo told InterAKTV in a telephone interview. “After that, he will have his X-Ray, then will join us in practice.
The Aces recently notched their first win of the season, defeating Barako Bull last Sunday, after losing their first two games. Trillo said the inclusion of Abueva, a workhorse on the offensive end, is likely to bolster the team’s chances this season.
The Boosters,

however, are expected coast guard requirements to miss top overall rookie pick June Mar Fajardo, who was sidelined with a swollen scrotum which he incurred during their game against San Mig Coffee in a collision with Marc Pingris.
